Privacy policy

Your wedding invitation contains your family's names, your dates and your venues. This page says exactly what we do with them, who else sees them, and how to have them deleted.

Elzoka is the trading name of the business described in this document. Its registered business details are not yet finalised and will be published here before any paid order is accepted.

Browsing this site

You can browse every page here without telling us anything. There are no accounts, no advertising or tracking cookies and no tracking pixels. We do not know who you are, and we are not building a profile of you.

The site sets only small cookies it needs to work: the currency you chose, the card shop that sent you (for 90 days, so that shop is credited if you order), and, for two hours after you order, the way back into your order page.

We count visits. To see which pages and designs people look at, our public pages use Umami, a visit counter that runs on our own server. It records the page opened, the website that sent you, your browser, type of device, screen size and language, and your rough location (country and city). It uses no cookies, it does not keep your IP address, and it never has your name. Nobody else receives it and it is never used for advertising. It does not run on your private order page or on your invitation.

Our server also keeps ordinary technical logs, as every web server does, so that the site can be kept working and secure. If we add anything else, this page will say so and its version below will change.

What we collect, and when

  • Visit statistics, while you are just lookingBrowsing this websiteWhich of our public pages were opened, the website that sent you, your browser, type of device, screen size and language, and your rough location (country and city). Counted with Umami on our own server: no cookies, your IP address is not kept, and never your name. It does not run on your private order page or on your invitation.
  • Your name, phone number and email addressWhen you place an orderTo know whose invitation it is, to send you the private link where you fill in your details, and to reach you about your order. We do not send newsletters, and we do not pass any of it to anyone.
  • Your wedding detailsWhen you fill in your invitationNames of the couple and family, dates, times, venues and any wording you send us. These are the invitation — they are what we set into the design. If you add a note for guests or a contact person for guests, those are shown to everyone who has your invitation link.
  • A guest's reply (RSVP)Only if the couple chose RSVP, and a guest repliesThe guest's name, whether they are coming, how many people, which events and any message. Only that couple sees it, and it is deleted with their order. We do not ask guests for a phone number, email or address.
  • Photographs you uploadOnly if your design uses themTo place in your invitation. They are stored privately and are never put in a public folder.
  • Your paymentWhen you payHandled by our payment provider. Elzoka never sees or stores your card or bank details.
  • Messages you send us on WhatsAppWhen you contact us on WhatsAppTo answer you. These sit in WhatsApp, under WhatsApp's own privacy terms, not on our servers.

Your invitation is not public

Every invitation we build is deliberately hidden from search engines, and its web address is long and random so that it cannot be found by guessing. Anyone you send the link to can open it — that is what lets your guests forward it — and you can ask us to switch it off at any time.

Photographs you send are kept in private storage and are never placed in a public folder. They are used in your invitation and for nothing else.

Messages you send us. If you write to us from the Chat on your invitation page, we keep your messages with your order so we can help you, and they are deleted when your order is deleted. Only Elzoka reads them. The card shop you ordered through never sees them.

Who else sees your details

Only these, and only as much as they need:

  • The shop you ordered through, if you ordered through a wedding card shop rather than directly. They see your name, your phone number and the status of your order — so they can help you. They do not see your wedding details or your photographs. You gave those to us, not to the shop.
  • Our payment provider, who handles the payment itself. Your card and bank details go to them and never to us — we never see or store them.
  • The company hosting our servers, which stores the data on our behalf and does not use it.

We do not sell your details, we do not share them for advertising, and we do not give them to anyone else.

How long we keep it

We keep your order and your wedding details while your invitation is live, and for a reasonable period afterwards so that we can help if you come back to us or need a copy. You can ask us to delete them sooner.

When personal details are deleted, we keep anonymous production statistics — which design was ordered, roughly where, how long it took to build, whether the layout had problems. That information has no names, no phone numbers and nothing that identifies you or your family, and it is what tells us which designs to make more of.

What you can ask us to do

  • Tell you what we hold about you
  • Correct anything that is wrong
  • Delete your details
  • Switch your invitation off so the link stops working

Message us on WhatsApp and ask. There is no form and no account to log into — you are messaging the same number that answers everything else.

Children

This service is for people arranging a wedding and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect details from anyone under 18, other than a child’s name appearing on an invitation because a family chose to include it.

If this policy changes

We record which version of this policy you agreed to when you ordered, and that record does not change afterwards. If we change what we collect or who sees it, we publish a new version rather than quietly editing this one, so what you agreed to stays what you agreed to.
